Steubenville of the Rockies Pre-Registration
THIS IS NOT AN OFFICIAL SIGN UP! This survey is to get an idea for how many people are planning on joining us for this summer's Steubenville of the Rockies Conference.
When is it?
This year's conference will be June 21-23, 2024 at the Gaylord Rockies Resort.
How Much Will It Cost?
Registration costs $200 and includes two nights at the Gaylord Rockies Resort & Convention Center, a conference t-shirt, four meals, and admittance to the conference. Payments won't be due until April 30.
Who is allowed to attend?
All high school-aged students are invited! Because this is a summer event, though, that does take a little bit of explanation.
This is a summer event, which means that incoming 9th graders are invited to attend (in other words, current 8th graders). It is so exciting when incoming 9th graders attend because they usually make great friends, bond with others, and begin their high school careers with this huge blessing, igniting their hearts with the love of God! I encourage incoming freshmen to attend!
Also, graduates from the class of 2024 are invited to attend! We want to send them off to life after high school with this amazing experience, hearts ablaze!
Obviously, everyone in between those two groups is in high school, too!
Who are the speakers?
This year, we have a star-studded group of presenters, with Bob Lesnefsky, Jackie Angel, Father Mike Schmitz, Ben Walther, and Paul J. Kim. You're not going to want to miss out on this amazing team!
How Do We Pre-Register?
Use the link below to pre-register! Pre-registration closes on Wednesday, January 17 at 8:00 am. I will be reserving our spots that day.

Meet the Core Team
Meet Richard Deanda. Richard is the Director of Evangelization and Family Life Ministries at Spirit of Christ Catholic Community, and has been since 2000. Richard has been a parishioner of Spirit of Christ for most of his adult life. He has his master's degree in Theology from Ave Maria's Institute for Pastoral Theology. He loves Star Wars, words, sword fights, philosophy and martial arts. Two of Richard's favorite Saints are Saint Augustine and Pope Saint John Paul II. If you hang around Richard enough, you might hear him say, "The world rises and falls on definitions." Come to Ignite on Sunday nights after the 5:00 pm Youth Mass to get to know him better!
Meet Krissy Jensen. Krissy is the Director of Youth Ministry at Spirit of Christ and has been working in the Youth Ministry here since 2007. Krissy has been a part of the Spirit of Christ Community her entire faith life. Krissy's favorite Saints are Saint Terese of Lisieux and Pope Saint John Paul II. Krissy graduated from CU Boulder with a degree in English and has her Certificate in Youth Ministry from the Franciscan University of Steubenville through the Augustine Institute. She loves to run, she loves her dog, and she loves Nutella and bacon! Come to Ignite on Sunday nights to get to know her better! Meet Mary Ann Mahoney. Mary Ann has been part of the Core Team since 2001. She has been at Spirit of Christ since the 1980's, until Fr. Ken convinced her to go to China. Two of her favorite Saints are St. Augustine and St. Hilarius (for who her car is named). After six years in China and a journey back to SOC, she became involved with youth ministry and can't seem to leave because spending time with amazing teens and watching them grow closer to Jesus is the best way to start a new week. During the week, Mary Ann teaches first grade and manages data and assessment at a school in Denver. Whenever possible, she spends time with her nieces and nephews. She loves laughing, traveling, cupcakes, things that are pink and/or sparkly and all forms of chocolate (FYI - white chocolate is not chocolate). Her special skills are dish washing, dessert making and fun fonts. Come to Ignite to meet Mary Ann!
Meet Kat O'Hayre. Kat has been a member of the Ignite Core Team since 2013. Before she was on the Core Team, though, Kat was a member of the Edge junior high program’s “J-Core Team,” while also participating in the Ignite program as a high school student. Kat is a proud Standley Lake Gator, Ignite grad, and CU Buff! Kat believes that “Life is funny and full of surprises. If you give God all of it – your time, your heart, your life – all of it will multiply. Ignite and youth ministry have been huge examples of this in my life thus far. Live with zeal in God’s love.” Kat loves God, family, friends, sunshine, dancing, tennis, sci-fi, and candy. Her favorite Saints are Saint Philomena and Saint Padre Pio. She wants you to remember that “Not all of us can do great things. But we can do small things with great love” – Mother Teresa. She also believes that “To live would be awfully big adventure” – Peter Pan. Come to Ignite and meet Kat!
